Episode 1: Deconstructing Cyberbullying with Kathleen Hilchey
Join Natasha Nakhle and Kathleen Hilchey as they discuss the long-term effects of cyberbullying, the online persona, "cancel culture" and anti-bullying strategization.
Kathleen Hilchey is an anti-bullying and conflict specialist. In completing her Masters in Education at Brock University, she took a particular interest in aggression, bullying and peacebuilding techniques. For more than a decade, Kathleen has explored conflict resolution and bullying within schools, workplaces, families and between individuals. She has developed a bona fide strategy for assisting people in overcoming situations in which they feel powerless, by encouraging them to be resolute in choosing their own problem-solving tactic. This veers away from traditional punishment-based bullying responses, which don't necessarily address the root problem and can cause circumstances to worsen.
